Week 144 - FlightBlended distress inks with a Heidi Swapp sentcil.  Then masked off the star with 2 stencils to clear emboss the image.  Love how the picked raspberry and mustard seed distress inks make a slight orange and the mustard seed and peacock feathers make a sight green.  Love working with those inks, so versatile!

IMG_0121Totes making this card for all the mama’s out there that I know….delicious ombre!

I used Papertrey Ink’s Keep It Simple Mother’s Day Stamp set.  The colors are Ranger distress ink in picked raspberry, spiced marmalade and mustard seed. The edge was made with EK Success Tools edger punch in Diamond Flower.

I embossed a piece of watercolor paper and then colored it with SU’s Aqua Painters.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches “Uplifters” Stamp set on SU Crumb Cake Card stock.  #papersmooches #uplifters

Lovely Happy Day

1st Holy Communions are always lovely, happy days.  I played around with my one stencil, LOL and had some fun making a communion card for my husbands Goddaughter.  At first I wasn’t sure about the colors – but I followed the color challenge at Paper Players, and the combination of green, pink and teal turned out pretty sweet!

This card is already spoken for, but Im going to make some more to post in my shop, as ’tis the season for communions.

Enjoy!

Stencilin’!

Ive been seeing so many amazing creations with stencils lately, I knew I had to try it.  And than I realized I didn’t have any stencils!  Problemo.  So I got this cute one on a Michaels run today from Heidi Swapp.  The inks are Ranger distress inks in Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry.  Sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s Birthday wishes photopolymer stamp set.  Gonna toss it into a few challenges and see where it goes !

Post vacation blues!

So, we are back from a cruise and I want to go back!  Nothing like the high seas to remind you of the beautiful, relaxing world there is out there!  The sunsets are amazing.  So, while looking at my pictures, I was inspired to make a Project Life card for my daughters scrapbook.  If you don’t know what Project Life is, find out more about it here…Project Life by Stampin’ Up

Here is my card that I will be submitting to the Paper Smooches Design Team call.  I used a “smooshing” water color technique, a digi-stamp from the Paper Smooches website, and a sentiment from the Slang Gang stamp set from PS as well. The adorable sun was colored with Copic Markers Y11, Y15 and Y17.

Cutest bunny: Part Duex

IMG_0105This card front was colored with the following Copic Markers:  Birdie = Y11, Y15 and Y17, Bunny = E00, E51 and E11.  Easter Basket eggs = Y11, 15 and 17, YR01, 04, 07 and 09 and R21, 22, 24 and 29. The grass was made with YG03 17, 67  and YG21 for highlight. The easter basket is a Paper Smooches Digi-stamp which was so fun, I just printed it out on card stock and heat set the printer ink so it wouldn’t run when I colored it.  The “hello sunshine” sentiment was also a free digi stamp from the paper smooches blog site.

Cutest bunny

Here is one of my submissions for a shot at Paper Smooches Guest Designer.  I have become smitten for many of their stamps, such cute designs with a modern feel, so I figured I’d throw my hat in the ring by using the Magical Spring Stamp set to make some Easter fun.  There are lots of other challenges that have a spring theme this week so Ill probably throw them in there too.IMG_0104
